He made my own home something to fear. No longer a safe haven that separated me from the evils of the world. It would forever echo the vileness and terror of this night.Perhaps I had been living in fear, shelled away from everything for too long. Sometimes it takes being exposed to true horror to trigger true strength. I was scared, but also fueled with a tsunami of rage and relentless determination. It was the time for fight or flight- and I wasn’t going anywhere just yet.
